Ingredients

- 2 phyllo sheets
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup olive oil
- Grated kasseri cheese (or mozzarella)
- Turkish sucuk (or pepperoni/chorizo)
- Sweet corn kernels
- Black olives, sliced
- Red bell pepper, sliced
- Green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 fresh tomato, grated (or canned tomato sauce)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F)
- Spread first phyllo sheet in baking tray and fold edges inward
- Mix milk and olive oil together
- Brush milk-oil mixture over phyllo sheet
- Sprinkle grated cheese over the layer
- Place second phyllo sheet on top and repeat brushing with milk-oil mixture
- Mix grated tomato with oregano and tomato paste for sauce
- Spread tomato sauce evenly over phyllo base
- Add generous amount of cheese, sucuk slices, bell peppers, black olives, and corn
- Bake for 15 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly
Notes
- Keep phyllo sheets covered with damp towel to prevent drying
- Don’t overfill with toppings for even cooking
- Milk and olive oil mixture creates steam between layers for perfect texture
- Pizza will be crispy outside and tender inside
- Can substitute kasseri cheese with mozzarella
