- 1/2 pound onion
- Fresh parsley leaves (a little)
- Turmeric powder (some)
- Red pepper powder (some)
- Cinnamon powder (some)
- Salt (some)
Instructions
- Wash potatoes thoroughly and slice into thin, even rounds
- Finely chop the onion and fresh parsley leaves
- Mix turmeric powder, red pepper powder, cinnamon powder, and salt in a small bowl
- Heat oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C)
- Pat potato slices dry with paper towels
- Fry potato slices in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch
- Remove chips and drain on paper towels
- While still warm, sprinkle with spice mixture, chopped onions, and parsley
- Toss gently to coat evenly and serve immediately
Notes
- Slice potatoes consistently for even cooking
- Don’t overcrowd the pan when frying
- Season while chips are still warm for better flavor absorption
- Adjust spice quantities to your taste preference
