Description

The ultimate fusion dish featuring golden pan-fried dumplings served over fresh, crunchy salad greens with a bold chili-soy dressing. Quick, customizable, and totally crave-worthy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag frozen dumplings of choice (2030 pieces)
  • 1½ cups arugula
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 cucumber (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup green onions (sliced)
  • ½ onion (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 5 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp freshly minced garlic
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp chili crisp or chili oil
  • 23 tbsp water (to thin dressing)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat
  2. Add frozen dumplings to the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy on the bottom, about 3-5 minutes
  3. While dumplings cook, prepare the dressing by whisking together tamari or soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and chili crisp in a mixing bowl
  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water to thin the dressing to desired consistency
  5. In a large salad bowl, combine arugula, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, green onions, and sliced onion
  6. Add the crispy dumplings to the salad
  7. Drizzle the spicy soy dressing over the salad
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve immediately

Notes

  • Works with store-bought or homemade dumplings
  • Recipe is highly customizable – swap arugula for spinach or mixed greens
  • Make extra dressing as it’s great on other dishes
  • For best results, let dumplings get golden and crispy before removing from pan
  • Thin slicing vegetables ensures better distribution and bite-sized portions
