Ingredients
Scale
- 2lb chicken tenders (or chicken thighs or breasts)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (or less)
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 packet of sazon
- The juice of 1 lemon
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Large flour tortillas
- Tomatoes, diced
- Red onion, sliced
- Lettuce, chopped
- Cooking spray (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite size pieces, place in a large bowl. Add in all the seasonings along with the juice of one lemon, toss well and set aside while you work on the rest of the ingredients.
- Wash, chop, dice and slice the lettuce, tomatoes and onion.
- Make the sauce— In a bowl combine all the ingredients for the sauce and mix well.
- Cook the Chicken— Place a pan on medium-high heat, wait for the pan to get hot, drizzle in the olive oil, then the chicken. Cook the chicken for 15-20 minutes tossing occasionally until all the chicken pieces are cooked through.
- Assemble the Wraps— On a tortilla, layer the lettuce, followed by the chicken, tomatoes, onions, and a drizzle of the sauce. Seal the tortillas by Folding in the sides first, then fold over the long edge, tucking it under the filling and rolling to create a tight burrito.
- Place the wraps seamed side down in a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Toast the wraps on all sides until golden and crispy.
- Serve with more sauce and enjoy!
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking chicken for better browning
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking for juicier results
- Warm your tortillas slightly before assembling for easier rolling
- Don’t overfill your wraps to prevent tearing
- The sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to a week
